Seems we got started without proper introductions.  To explain what we are doing here...

A group of my friends and myself were disgusted with how little information was available on the websites out there for help on general practical programming.   There was plenty of forums with untested garbage snippet code that a lot of times had bugs in the example.  It seems like there is not much importance placed on code quality now days. But it seemed if the example code wasn't buggy to the point of non-functional, the explanation of how it worked was.

It made me think.  Those of us veteran programmers that made a career out of programming all had that one mentor that gave us that extra help, that helped us get past all those struggling points in computer science.  For myself I had my dad, some really good college professors and a programming network called SWAG.  SWAG is where I gather my inspiration for this website.  It was a group of extremely talented programmers that all pitched in and answered questions and gave full working code examples.  Rarely did you ever run into non-functional or confusing snippets of code.  In a time era littered with the "trade secret" mindset,  this small band of Turbo Pascal and Turbo Assembler coders provided insight on things normally only privileged corporate computer industrial's had at the time.  We all shared our little piece of knowledge and contributed it to the group.  SWAG was the utopian fountain of knowledge.  Many times they would post a dozen different answers from a dozen different programmers, all with different perspectives on how to answer one question.  That atmosphere is what I'm trying to recapture.  Of course my colleagues have their own reasons unique to them.

All source code unless specified otherwise is under the WTFPL. The link is not safe for work environments but the license is the only one that conveys our attitudes with what we are posting here.  Of course anyone who posts software with a different license we expect everyone to respect their wishes.

Happy coding and feel free to ask your questsions!
